Bradenton Drag Day
It's time to better our reaction times and lower our 60 foot times!

TBSVTOA is heading back to Bradenton on Thursday Nov 20th

Time is from 6pm to 11pm

Cost is 10 dollars for driver and 10 more for the tech card.

To get there go south on I-75 till exit 220 which is state road 64,then go east about 8 miles and the track will be on the right/south side of 64.

Bring a helmet just in case,M or SA

You guys are killin' me! My car is not back together yet!

How bout bringing it up at Friday's meet and try for next Thurs?

Got the right side upper mount back in position and welded up. Got the Battle Box kit and the subframe connectors still to install and also a driveshaft loop. Then back together it goes!

I'll be there with the wife. I'm trying to convince her to take it down the track once.

Also, does anyone know of a place to get the proper helmet for cheap?

Any help would be appreciated.

There are some parts stores called Automotive Engineering, various locations (like south of 56th and Fowler). They have helmets from about 40 and up that are all approved by the certification places we need.

It is an M2000 which is ok for the drags but is not acceptable at Sebring.You must have a SA in the number Example SA2000.An Sa 2000 will cost around 150 dollars

Thanks Brad, one place I called told me there was no difference, as long as it is a helmet.

I told him that I'll just go to WalMart then and get one of those styrofoam bicycle helmets for ten bucks!

Biker helmets are different. Don't get them. If you go to Automotive Engineering they will sell you an import SA 2000 for under $55. I used it at Sebring. Want me to bring in Friday ? It is the kind that is NOT full face (does not cover the chin.

Here's where I got my SA2000 helmet I used at Sebring for $150, open face. It's pretty comfortable for a helmet.

I'm gonna try to get there with our F350 diesel dually. I am curious to see what 400hp and 900lbs/ft of torque can do with a 8000# truck.:D Anyone gonna convoy down?
