View Full Version : Should we try a Thurs night Drag Event

Please reply if anyone has an interest in doing a Thursday night drag event insead of Sat.Should be cooler in the eves now?

Hey,

I wouldn't mind doing that on a thurs. night. The temp. would be alot better especially in the fall than Sat. mid day. I'm in, let us know when and I'll see ya there.

That is a distinct possibility! Ramsey's is R&Ring my exhaust gaskets as we speak. If I can get a decent set of tires by then I might be able to make it. What is the widest tire I can fit on the stock 99 Cobra 17X8 rim?

255/40 or 45.Any bigger and will look funny,it will have a pronounced taper from the rim to the outside edge of the tire

Thrusday is good for me. A cool track is not as fast as a hot track but the cars will run cooler.The last sat. down there was to hot to enjoy!

275/45 is the largest w/o scrubbing fenderwell. it will taper significantly from the edge of the tire to the edge of the rim,but is the maximum amount of rubber you can put on the 17x8 rim. i will post a pic of my 275 drag radials on the rim tomorrow.

im in for thurs nights.

I have two BFG DR that are like brand new if anyone needs them I will sell them for 250.00. they are 275x40x17.

John your nuts! Bo at Ramsey's told me how much more HP you got after the chip change. (At least I think it was you he was referring to)That car can easily make high 11's. Just tighten the loose nut behind the wheel!:D
