SVTOA has worked with Ford Motor Company to allow SVTOA to host our Picnic/Show & Shine on Friday, August 16, 2002 at their new Mustang Drive-In (the event will no longer take place at SVTOA)!!! The Ford Mustang Drive-In is located on Woodward Ave., just south of 12 Mile Rd. Ford will erect a retro-looking drive-in eatery. The drive-in will have a 50-foot high screen that will be the backdrop for rock- and pop-music on Saturday. For more information about Ford's display, check out the attached article.
SVTOA's "Picnic" style event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will shut down at 9:00 p.m. Since its a picnic, we recommend you bring your own blankets and chairs. The price per person for dinner is $10 (this cost includes beverages) and kids under 10 eat free! ALCOHOL IS ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED.
Our SVTOA Picnic/Show&Shine will be the inaugural event for Ford's Mustang Drive-In location. Therefore, we'll need everyone's assistance in making sure the display is brought back to it original condition and ready for Saturday's activities.
Because parking within the display is limited we will be mailing each of you a parking pass to guarantee you a space within the display. Without this pass, you will be unable to park within the display (all of the vehicle spaces within the display have been filled).
