Email the bean counters at Ford NOW and tell them you will not buy another Ford again if they let any non SVT dealer to sell the new Shelby Cobra. Let me explain it like this, the SVT dealers pay a lot of money to become SVT dealers and by letting non SVT dealers sell this car they are taking money away from the SVT dealers. Moreover it takes money away from SVTOA who is supported by SVT dealers.
This is really a serious matter and in my opinion threatens the existence of the exclusivity of the SVT product and SVTOA.

Anyone have a good e-mail address, or list of address of important people to send e-mails at Ford. All i can find on the Ford web site is a standard contact form.

You might have a point, But all the dealers will bump it..... I think it will cause it to be higher since every dealer may only get one or 2. Thus they will try to get the most out of what they have.
With all dealers getting them..! there will be a biger supply and demand between the dealers thus more $$$.
Ford HAS made it final on how there going to do this. I will let everyone know at the general chapter meeting.

This may be true but after the rich and famous have gotten their cars the price will drop and they will be just like the 03-04 cobras, so I really don't think it will make any difference what dealership sells them. As far as it causing the SVTOA to disappear well the members will still be here and will still hang out together. This is just my personal opinion and doesn't really mean crap.

John,
Your not giving yourself enouph credit. That why we have an opinion poll.
You make a valid argument. Either way the I think most of will not be able to afford it after the dealers are done with the pricing. I know my wife is already letting me its wishfull thinking. LOL :)
Your opinion counts. Your opinion and mine may differ, but one thing is for sure is Ford will do what they think is best. As for SVTOA there is no problem there.

Only SVT should sell them. Even half those guys don't know how to work on them so whats a normal Ford dealer going to do. He will say - Head Tick, So what, my watch Ticks too but I don't fix that - Yuk Yuk.

I have to agree. It would not be fun to pay the bucks to own one and then try to have it serviced by someone who hasn't turned a wrench on SVT products regularly. You shouldn't sell a product if you can't provide the services needed to back it.

I agree with most of everything people are saying, but a ford dealer can get a SVT certification for working on the cars without selling them. Heritage Ford is one example.

maybe with some competition i might be able to get ernie haire to do the maintanance they're supposed to do, instead of trying every excuse they can think of to avoid doing any service they can't charge for!
